Determination of bromsulphthalein-glutathione conjugating enzyme activity in needle biopsy specimens of human liver

A micromethod for assaying bromsulphtlialein-glutathione conjugating activity in percutaneous needle biopsy specimen of human liver is described. Patients with cirrhosis and infectious hepatitis revealed a significantly low enzyme activity in liver tissue.
