Fine Structure of Tobacco Mosaic Virus
ALTHOUGH tobacco mosaic was one of the first viruses to be examined in the electron microscope, electron microscopy has failed to reveal any fine structure, even though it has been repeatedly looked for 1,2 , especially since the introduction 3 of metal shadow casting in 1945.
