Zusammenfassung:Pursuant to the Decree of the Hungarian Cabinet Council on Legal Metrology 8/1976 (IV.27), MT measurements involving legal effect (e.g. measurements in nuclear medicine) can be made by verified measuring instruments only. This paper outlines the method and results of verification for 125I and 131I radionuclides by radionuclide calibrators used in Hungarian nuclear medical practice. The experiences have proved that the radionuclide calibrators—similar to radiation dosimeters-should also be submitted for metrological supervision.
