The perils of promiscuity

A definition of promiscuity is attempted. Both sexes are dealt with, and in particular the more vulnerable groups of people such as male homosexuals and young girls. Various venereal and other sexually-transmitted diseases and why they present a hazard in both sexes are described, together with the possible factors which may cause promiscuity. Other psychological and disruptive effects on the individual and families are covered. More emphasis on health education and counselling rather than just contact tracing is recommended.
