Zusammenfassung: | Morphological characteristics of isolated rat liver cells were studied by TEM and SEM. The parenchymal cells fractionated by the 55% Percoll gradient were distributed into three bands. The cells of 1.09 g/ml density, with a size of approximately 15 μm, had short microvilli, long mitochondria, and abundant rough ER. The cells of 1.06 g/ml density, with a size of approximately 15 μm, had long microvilli, round mitochondria, and abundant glycogen particles. The cells of 1.03 g/ml density, approximately 22 μm in size, had many vacuoles and no microvilli. The non-parenchymal cells fractionated by the 38% Percoll gradient were distributed into two bands. The cells of 1.06 g/ml density, about 4 μm in size, had short microvilli; they showed many phagocytized latex particles in enlarged lysosomes. The cells of 1.04 g/ml density, about 8 μm In size, had long microvilll and many vacuoles with dense granular structures. |
