Zusammenfassung: | Several authors have investigated the innervation of the gallbladder and biliary pathways in mammals by means of histochemical methods. A detailed research reports that the guinea pig gallbladder contains about 367 neurons in a ganglionated nerve plexus which lies on the outer surface of the muscle coat. The studies of the physiological role of the intrinsic innervation are somewhat contradictory. This study is to investigate whether the nerve plexus can directly influence the mechanical properties of the whole gallbladder. |
