Mesenteric Fibromatosis Presenting with Ascites in Childhood

Summary A 7‐year‐old boy presented with acute ascites due to mesenteric fibromatosis. The pathophysiological mechanisms for formation of ascitic fluid and some aspects of the aetiology of intra‐abdominal fibromatosis and its association with Gardener's syndrome are discussed.
