Surveillance of Human Ehrlichiosis in the United States: 1988

Human ehrlichiosis is an acute febrile illness believed to be caused by Ehrlichia canis or a closely related rickettsia. National data on this disease have been summarized only once previously. We conducted surveillance for this disease in the United States in 1988.
