Splenic abscesses in childhood

The purpose of the present report is to analyze the epidemiology, predisposing causes, bacteriology, therapy and outcome of splenic abscesses in childhood in five cases treated at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) and 51 cases identified in a review of the literature.
