The malpighian tubules of Drosophila melanogaster: a novel phenotype for studies of fluid secretion and its control

A study found that the insect Malpighian tubules of Drosophila melanogaster possess comparable transport mechanisms with the tubules of other insects. The D. melanogaster Malpighian tubule is described.
