Zusammenfassung:Enhancer sequences analysed using the informational spectrum method (ISM) show a characteristic frequency at .0488. It has been shown that the characteristic frequency for some DNA binding proteins overlaps the characteristic frequency of their target DNA sequences. We suggest here that two types of proteins, homeoproteins and the glucocorticoid receptors, might bind to enhancer sequences.
