Zusammenfassung:	Staphylococcus aureus bacteraemia increases in frequency, and it is still a life-threatening disease. In recent years, some interesting studies such as the need for focus identification and the focus eradication have been performed. The aim of this review is to present an up-to-date assessment of the current challenges in the management of S. aureus bacteraemia in order to improve the outcome.
