In at least four patients, the conventional antiphospholipid markers (lupus anticoagulant and IgG and IgM anticardiolipin) were negative. All six children had normal results in the other routine thrombophilia assays (thrombin time, antithrombin, protein C, protein S, factor V Leiden mutation, prothrombin mutation).
