Methyl-mercury-chloride as a specific reagent for protein-bound sulfhydryl groups: Electron stains II
Methyl-mercury-chloride is shown to have a high specificity for sulfhydryl groups in biological material and is introduced as a specific reagent (“electron stain”) for the demonstration of these groups in electron microscopy. The reagent is applied on striated muscle and epidermis.
