Batch‐fecundity estimates of 21 females (89–99 cm LF) ranged between 0·17 and 1·66 million eggs (mean ±s.d. = 0·94 ± 0·43). The relative fecundity estimates of the 21 females ranged between 9·2 and 92·4 oocytes g−1 body mass (mean ±s.d. = 50·5 ± 22·8). The results presented in this study provide increased information regarding this species' reproductive‐related characteristics than are currently available in stock status determinations. |
