Zusammenfassung: | This work addresses the difficulty specific in large eddy simulation (LES) of forced, homogeneous, isotropic two-dimensional (2D) turbulence in the energy transfer subrange. In particular, the difficulty to LES and its subgrid scale (SGS) representation is in that the energy source resides in high wave number modes excluded in simulations. To overcome such difficulty, a two-parametric viscosity is considered and applied to several LES of 2D turbulence. Finally, a simplified SGS representation is defined which is referred to as the stabilized negative viscosity (SNV) representation. |
