Der Einfluss der grossen Verformungen auf die Bestimmungsgesetze wird bestimmt. Von besonderem Interesse ist der Einfluss der gemischten Glieder und der Möglichkeit, die Spannungsresultierende als partielle Ableitung der Dehnungsenergie bezüglich geeigneter Verformungsvariablen auszudrücken.
