Zusammenfassung:Hungary's only nuclear power plant Paks has undergone a transformation by the replacement of its mechanical system and installation of digital safety I and C system supplied by Siemens as a safety improvement programme. The aim of the reconstruction was to install a modern personalized computer system to provide operators with on-line and archived data. A SCADA system was installed based on Intellution FIX-32 application environment. The new system is based on Intellution FIX-32 SCADA system software. Information from three data sources (IMR, NIMFA, RPS) connected to redundant pair of SCADA servers that are in parallel operation. Workstations will switch over to redundant server in case of server failure.
