description | Seventy ganglia of the wrist have been treated by a new method whereby two sutures are passed through the ganglion, at right angles to each other, and each is tied in a loop. At intervals thereafter, the contents of the ganglion are expelled by massage. Only three recurrences occurred in 62 patients followed-up. This compares well with the results of surgical excision and avoids the complications of operation and anaesthetic. |
