Zusammenfassung:1. 1. Norepinephrine (NE) concentration was determined at mid-light and late-dark phases in brain regions and organs of the rat 1 hr following the administration of amphetamine. 2. 2. Amphetamine caused a significant reduction in hypothalamic NE in the mid-light phase only. 3. 3. A significant difference between NE concentration at the mid-light and late-dark phases was found in the medial lower brainstem.
