Comparison of short- and long-term outcomes of coronary angioplasty in patients with and without diabetes mellitus and with and without hemodialysis

In-hospital and long-term outcomes after coronary angioplasty in 28 dialysis diabetic and 84 dialysis nondiabetic patients were compared with clinical outcomes after coronary angioplasty in 28 nondialysis diabetic and 84 nondialysis, nondiabetic patients matched according to clinical and angiographic characteristics. The rate of angiographic success in diabetic dialysis patients was high and similar in the 4 groups.
