Childhood Obesity, BMI Calculators, and Medical Software - Time for an Upgrade?

New software for calculation and interpretation of body mass index (BMI) in children is discussed. In children the BMI needs to be interpreted using both age and gender unlike in adults, were the BMI cutoff values are fixed and universal.
