Structure and Function of DNA Photolyase and Cryptochrome Blue-Light Photoreceptors

Photoreactivation is the reversal of the harmful effects, such as growth delay, mutagenesis, and killing, of far UV on organisms by concurrent and subsequent exposure to blue light. The use of blue-light photoreceptors in research is discussed.
