Extrapulmonary Uptake in the Spleen During Lung Perfusion with Tc-99m MAA
We present a case of splenic uptake with Tc-99m MAA without evidence of right–left communication or the existence of free Tc-99m. The only explanation is that of a partial fragmentation of the particle, which is phagocytosed for leukocytes and trapped by the splenic sinusoids.
