Zusammenfassung: | The incidence of stress fractures in young athletes has increased with the popularization of sports among children and adolescents. Stress fractures are less common in children and adolescents than in adults. A combination of intrinsic or anatomical factors and extrinsic factors such as training pitfalls and environmental insufficiencies predispose athletes to stress fractures. This review aims to outline current knowledge about clinical manifestations, diagnostic imaging, and treatment of stress fractures in children and adolescents. |
