The effects of HRT on screening mammography
The effects of hormone replacement therapy on screening for breast cancer by mammography are reviewed. There is a decline in specifity in screen mammography for women over the age of 50 taking oral preparations, The use of HRT also reduces the sensitivity of breast screening by regular mammography.
