Elevated CA125 levels in association with endometriosis

The case of a woman with elevated CA125 levels is discussed. CA125 is a membrane antigen which is elevated in the serum of about 82% of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. The high levels of CA125 made physicians suspect ovarian cancer, but they found only endometriosis.
