After-School Gardening Improves Children’s Reported Vegetable Intake and Physical Activity

Incorporating gardening along with food preparation, nutrition and physical activity education is an effective way to improve children's reported vegetable intake and physical activity in an after-school setting. Added benefits of after-school education and a gardening program are discussed.
