Here we provide the review of the current status of stem cell field and discuss the potential of therapeutic applications for blood and Immune system disorders, multiple sclerosis, hypoxic-ischemic brain injury and brain tumors. For the complimentary information about various stem cells and their properties we recommend consulting the National Institutes of Health stem cell resources (http://stemcells.nih.gov/info/basics).
