Zusammenfassung:This article is a review of the main developments in cardiac imaging techniques reported in publications during 2005. Recent advances in digital technology have led to steadily increasing reliance on imaging techniques in the management of cardiovascular disease. We discuss advances in two techniques that fall under the remit of the echocardiography working group: echocardiography and magnetic resonance imaging.
