Zusammenfassung:[Miranda-Filho DB] and colleagues,2 in a randomised controlled trial of 120 patients with tetanus, allocated 58 patients to antitetanus globulin by the intrathecal and intramuscular route (treatment group), and 62 to antitetanus globulin by the intramuscular route (controls). Patients in the treatment group had greater clinical benefits than controls. Those treated by the intrathecal route had a better disease progression than those treated intramuscularly.
