Zusammenfassung: | Abstract Congenital absence of the salivary glands is an uncommon disorder. Isolated aplasia of a unilateral submandibular gland is rare and only 6 cases have been reported. The formation of a sialolith within the remaining Wharton's duct, associated with isolated aplasia of a unilateral submandibular gland, has not been reported previously. The authors report two cases of sialolithiasis within the ipsilateral remaining Wharton's duct in patients with isolated aplasia of a unilateral submandibular gland. |
