Zusammenfassung:Eight long-term mentally ill patients who were relocated from Holywell Hospital into a community residential unit were studied for effects on mental state, social functioning, problems and consumer satisfaction. After six months, there was no significant change in mental state, but there was an improvement in the number of problems encountered. Seven of the subjects rated their level of satisfaction at or above the median level.
