Perceptions of state reform in Latin America

Over the last decade, the focus of public sector reform in Latin America has shifted towards a strategy of privatisation of state-owned enterprises. The publics of the eight countries reviewed think overwhelmingly that businesses should be in private hands, with the exception of Uruguay.
