Patterns of Violence in English Society: Homicide in Kent 1560-1985

An analysis of patterns of violence in Kent England was conducted in an attempt to examine the theory that people in the UK today are less prone to violence than their medieval and early modern forebears. Kent was chosen as the county of study because it has long been economically diverse and relatively populous, with several sizeable towns and extensive dockways.
