Zusammenfassung:A presentation of an evaluation of international literature on the family in an attempt to enlarge the original assessment of American articles on marriage & family theory published from 1962 through 1968 by J. Klein, G. Calvert, T. Garland, & M. Paloma " Pilgrim's Progress I: Recent Developments in Family Theory," Journal of Marriage and the Family, 1969, 31, Nov, 677 -- 687. In order to classify the data, 2 categories were utilized, the author's intent & theoretical category & the contribution to theory on the family. For author's intent each article was placed in one of the following classifications. (1) "empirical," (2) "theoretical," (3) "empirical-theoretical," (4) "discussion," (5) "survey," (6) "applied," & (7) "methodological." Assessments on the contribution to family theory by the article was determined by placing the articles according to: (a) "synthesizes information pertinent to family sociology"; (b) "specifies a problem"; (c) "tests a problem"; & (d) "advances theory." The appendix which lists the articles contains a total of 418 articles from the USSR, Great Britain, Japan, France, & Germany published between 1962 & 1970. 4 Tables, Appendix. J. Kondon.
