INDUSTRIAL STRATEGY: A MISSING LINK IN BRITISH ECONOMIC POLICY
It is argued that British economic policy in the Twentieth century has been characterised by the absence of a coherent industrial strategy. Public investment in an extended infrastructure fuelling endogenous development via supportive services for systems of relatively small firms is advocated.
