Wages of change: the unseen transition in northern Nigeria

Presents evidence of the frequency, purpose, and distribution of wage labor in northern Nigeria. Suggests that, although a so-called capitalist transformation has not taken place, capital is becoming a significant factor in labor relations. (Abstract amended)
