Selfreported versus behavioral selfhandicapping: empirical evidence for a theoretical distinction
Examined how subjects would respond when given a choice between 2 methods of selfhandicapping. Results suggest a preference for selfreporting selfhandicapping, and sex differences are apparent. Reasons for choice of selfhandicap are presented, together with accounts of sex differences. JGW
