Manhae’s Understanding of Buddhism

In Korean history, the late-nineteenth century and twentieth century was a period of Japanese oppression and colonialization. The loss of the Korean people's freedom and independence, the fate of Buddhism, and invasion of Japanese Buddhism are the backgrounds by which Manhae can be understood.
