description A description of the telemetric system developed at the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far-East Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences is given. The system is used for the continuous multi-disciplinary geophysical monitoring in the territory of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskii geodynamic test site. The digital part of the measuring station is based on a microprocessor that measures a controller based on an 8-bit AVR RISC microcontroller. The controller uses 24-bit micropower Sigma-delta ADCs, which yields high-precision measurements in 18 channels with a sampling rate of 32 Hz. GSM cellular or dial-up over land phone lines are used as communication channels.
