Hydrogels Based on Amniotic Collagen Poly(Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate) Graft Copolymers

Amniotic collagen was crosslinked with glutaraldehyde and sub sequently graft copolymerized with poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) [poly (HEMA)]. The graft copolymers were characterized for their percentage of graft ing, IR spectroscopy, mechanical strength and equilibrium water absorption.
