Studies of static magnetic order in electron-superconductors and their parent compounds

Using muon spin rotation, the parent compounds Ln2CuO4-y of recently developed copper oxide superconductors are shown to exhibit static magnetic order below 300K, which is similar to that observed in the parent compounds of hot superconductors.
