Thermal and polarized spectroscopic characteristics of Nd:LiLa(WO4)2 crystal
The thermal and polarized spectroscopic characteristics of Nd3+:LiLa(WO4)2 crystals have been investigated. The hardness of Nd3+:LiLa(WO4)2 crystal is 389.7 VDH. The specific heat at 330 K is 0.47 J g-1 K-1. The thermal expansion coefficients for c- and a-axes are 7.70 X 10-6 and 14.63 X 10-5 deg C-...

description | The thermal and polarized spectroscopic characteristics of Nd3+:LiLa(WO4)2 crystals have been investigated. The hardness of Nd3+:LiLa(WO4)2 crystal is 389.7 VDH. The specific heat at 330 K is 0.47 J g-1 K-1. The thermal expansion coefficients for c- and a-axes are 7.70 X 10-6 and 14.63 X 10-5 deg C-1, respectively. The spectral parameters have been determined by Judd -Ofelt theory and Fuchtbauer -Ladenburg formula. The intensity parameters Omegat obtained are Omega2 = 12.914 X 10-20 cm2, Omega4 = 3.79 X 10-20 cm2, Omega6 = 3.72 X 10-20 cm2. The radiative and fluorescence lifetimes are 145 and 165 mus, respectively. The quantum efficiency is 91.9%. The absorption band at 805 nm has an FWHM of around 20 nm for both pi- and sigma-polarizations. The absorption cross-sections at 805 nm are 2.91 and 2.83 X 10-20 cm2 for pi- and sigma-polarizations, respectively. The stimulated emission cross-sections are 8.899 and 7.787 X 10-20 cm2 for pi- and sigma-polarizations, respectively. |
