Zusammenfassung:Purified and acidified kaolin of Tamazert has been characterized by X-ray fluorescence, MAS NMR, FTIR and XRD. Ring opening of tetrahydrofuran is carried out using this kaolin as a catalyst at room temperature. Experimental results showed that polymerisation of tetrahydrofuran (THF) in the presence of kaolin particles gives convincing results in the presence of the acetic anhydride (AA). Reaction products are characterized by viscosimetry, FTIR, 1H NMR, DSC, and GPC.
