Zusammenfassung:A major key to the success of this microstructure sensitive design (MSD) framework is the efficiency gained by representing the various functions and relations in Fourier (or spectral) space. Spectral analysis is a data-processing technique used in various engineering and science fields to dramatically compress the amount of data involved. Typical examples include compression of a bitmap image by 95% or more by using the spectral jpeg format.
