The effect of VDR polymorphism rs 2228570 on blood pressure indicates (the mean systolic blood pressure in AA, AG, and GG carrier patients was 149, 150 and 166 respectively, P=0.29. On the other hand, the mean diastolic blood pressure in AA, AG, and GG carrier patients was 89, 89, and 94 respectively P=0.6) there was no statistically significant effect on systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Conclusions: there is no statistically significant effect of VDR rs2228570 on SBP and DBP (p = 0.6), vitamin D receptor gene polymorphism rs2228570 was related to vitamin D level. |
