Analysis the Electromagnetic Scattering Properties of Multilayered Periodic Structures Using Generalized Scattering Matrix Theory

The generalized scattering matrix method is based on a spectral moment method. To obtain the overall scattering parameters of the structure, which are used to determine the reflection and transmission properties, a matrix of scattering parameters is evaluated for each individual layer, and then a scattering matrix for the entire structure is formed by a procedure analogous to the cascading of networks iteratively. Several numerical results were presented, comparing with results derived from other methods. to verify the efficiency of the proposed technique.
