Results
The body mass index was significantly lower (

= 0.003), and the %EWL was significantly higher (

= 0.023) at 6 months postoperative in patients who underwent SASI bypass. Both groups had similar results at the other follow-up visits. The mean HgA1c levels at the 6- and 12-month follow-up visits were significantly lower in SASI patients (
