Zusammenfassung:Ca-alpha SiAlON powders were synthesised by carbothermal reduction nitridation of zeolite (Ca-zeolite Y). The Ca-zeolite Y was converted into an amorphous phase below 1100 C, and then into Ca-alpha SiAlON via mullite, Si2N2O and (Ca,Si,Al)xOy liquid at 1450 C. In converting zeolite into Ca-alpha SiAlON, it was found that Ca-alpha SiAlON particles were of a similar size to that of the raw material, indicating that it is possible to control the particle size of Ca-alpha SiAlON using zeolite as a raw material. 20 refs.
